John Forbes Nash Jr. is a celebrated mathematician whose work on game theory led to great development in modern economics and group dynamics. In the 1950 ‘s and 60’s his bout with paranoid schizophrenia leading to downfall in his beautiful career. He later recovered from his mental illness with great help from his family and friend, especially his wife Alicia Nash. Although Nash had disappeared from the academic field for the greater part of his life, his earlier contribution in the field of game theory and differential geometry were enough to earn him a repute across fields as diverse as economics and biology, mathematics and political science. Throughout the later part of the 20th century many Economists kept recommending his name to the National Academy of Sciences and it finally bore fruit in the year of 1994 when John Nash shared the Nobel Prize in Economics. This brought about recognition and fame back to his life. The “bad boy, but great one” was back. His great sense of humour and his ‘Beautiful Mind’ started to win everyone over again. Today as his legacy we not only have his contribution to the field of game theory and pure mathematics but also his life and struggles with reality which lies as a testament to power of love and its ability to heal. As John Nash said in his Nobel Prize acceptance speech “I've made the most important discovery of my life. It's only in the mysterious equation of love that any logical reasons can be found. I'm only here tonight because of you. You're the only reason I am... you’re all my reasons.”
